Having lived several years in China, I invested my money with British Companies in that country. Enquiring for the Dividends I was told that these had been paid into the Alien Enemy Account at the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation in Shanghai. Asking the bank for the money due to me, I was referred to His Britannic Majesty's Government. Applying to the Public Trustee, your Department was suggested as the proper one. As I have no other funds available I should be obliged to you, if you would kindly see that this money is transferred to my account through
the Commandant of this Camp.
